Buckskin Booksellers was founded by David and Jan Smith,
and they moved the store to the newly renovated Beaumont
Hotel in the spring of 2001. Caroline and Robert Stoufer
bought the store in November of 2001, and Caroline ran the
store until the spring of 2007, when Robert began running
the bookstore, due to Caroline's illness. Caroline passed
away on December 7, 2007. Robert continues to operate the
bookstore.
